All World English teachers have a university degree or teaching diploma and a government-recognized qualification in TEFL/TESOL. Our senior academic staff normally have the RSA Diploma or equivalent.
Our Director, Geoff Evans, has more than 25 years experience in international education. He is a lecturer and teacher trainer and has managed large education enterprises in Asia and Europe before coming to Australia. As a career officer in the British Council,he has worked in seven different countries mostly in Asia.
A full programme of social events and activities allows you to practise your English and enjoy yourself at the same time. There are usually 2 wonderful social activities on offer per week such as snorkelling, horse riding, golf, catamaran sailing, picnics, barbecues and visit to vineyards, farms and nature parks.
We take great care with your accommodation. You can stay with a host family (carefully chosen to match your needs) or you can in a student hostel with self-catering facilities. You may also decide to reside on campus at the lovely King's Perth Hotel, which offers residential rates to World English students.
Our staff are here to help. Your Course Tutor will follow your progress and our Student Service staff will help you with all non-academic needs such as finding an apartment or a part-time job. They can also instruct students on how to use internet and setup an e-mail address.
Finally, a number of universities, business schools, hospitality training institutions and a leading flying school recognize your World English Certificate through our Pathways programme
The World English Certificate is recognised as proof of your English language competence by a number of universities, business schools and training institutions. For matters regarding your life in Australia you can see either the Director of Studies or the Resources Manager. We enjoy talking to people and like to help you. Please don't hesitate to seek help.
